The million dollar Illumina machines and the exciting rise of other technologies like sequencing using a nanopore bode well for the future of precision medicine. It cost billions of dollars to sequence the first human genome, and now it’s only $100. Stanford researchers want to get it down to $10, which is crazy and awesome!
